German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) Compliance

How German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) Compliance works inside Odoo

The module adds its own top-level menu to Odoo, LkSG Compliance, covering suppliers, risk management, a complaint channel, BAFA annual reports, GDPR requests and administration. Underneath it ships seven scheduled actions: five run daily, one monthly, and one, scheduled every 30 minutes, comes switched off. Here is the menu map, the timetable of those actions and the records the module keeps.

What it adds to the Odoo menu

Once the module is installed, a top-level entry appears: LkSG Compliance. These are its sections and sub-menus, quoted exactly as they appear in the module:

  • LkSG Compliance › Dashboard
  • LkSG Compliance › Suppliers
  • LkSG Compliance › Risk Management, with Risk Assessments and Measures (Preventive/Remedial)
  • LkSG Compliance › Complaint Channel (§8)
  • LkSG Compliance › Reports & Compliance, with BAFA Annual Reports (§10)
  • LkSG Compliance › GDPR / Data Subject, with DSAR Requests (Art.15-21)
  • LkSG Compliance › Administration, with Audit Log (10-year), Company Settings, Risk Areas and Country Risk Baseline

There is also a Data tables (FlexigoTech Cloud) menu hanging from LkSG Compliance. The section and article references (§8, §10, Art.15-21) are part of the menu names themselves.

If you are looking for something specific: suppliers sit under Suppliers; risk assessments and preventive or remedial measures under Risk Management; BAFA annual reports under Reports & Compliance; GDPR data subject requests under GDPR / Data Subject; and the audit log, company settings, risk areas and the country risk baseline under Administration.

The scheduled actions, from most to least frequent

The module defines seven scheduled actions. In Odoo they carry an LkSG prefix; here we quote them by the rest of the name, except the last one, which uses a colon after the prefix. Sorted by frequency and as they ship, this is their timetable:

  1. As the module ships Six actions are active and one, Delayed Complaint ACK Email Sender, comes switched off.
  1. Every 30 minutes Delayed Complaint ACK Email Sender. It has the highest frequency, but while it stays switched off it does not run.
  1. Every day Annual Risk Assessment Trigger, active. It says annual in its name, yet it is scheduled daily.
  1. Every day Update Measure Overdue Status, active. Its name refers to the overdue status of measures.
  1. Every day BAFA Deadline Reminders, active. Its name refers to BAFA deadline reminders.
  1. Every day Complaint Abuse Block Cleanup, active. Its name refers to cleaning up complaint abuse blocks.
  1. Every day LkSG: update the country risk baseline from FlexigoTech Cloud, active. This is the action with FlexigoTech Cloud in its name.
  1. Every month Retention Expiry Cleanup, active. It is the only one on a monthly schedule.

If you hit a warning while reviewing one, the module's error messages and warnings lists the literal texts and what to do about each.

The records the module keeps

Under the bonnet, the module defines these models, among others. Here is the technical name and the description each one carries in the code:

  • lksg.risk.area: LkSG Risk Area (§2 Protected Position)
  • lksg.measure: LkSG Preventive / Remedial Measure
  • lksg.complaint: LkSG Complaint (§8 Beschwerdeverfahren)
  • lksg.abuse.block: LkSG Complaint Portal Abuse Block
  • lksg.compliance.report: LkSG Annual Compliance Report (§10)
  • lksg.dsar.request: GDPR Data Subject Access / Erasure Request
  • lksg.audit.log: LkSG Immutable Audit Log (10-year retention)
  • lksg.fgt.paquete: FlexigoTech Cloud data tables

The code describes the audit log as immutable with 10-year retention. That is what the module does, not a legal conclusion about how long you must keep anything.

The technical names are handy if you are reviewing access rights, exporting data or commissioning development on top of the module: you know exactly which table is meant.

What you see on screen

Under LkSG Compliance › Suppliers you get the supplier list, with each supplier's LkSG tier, country of operations, status and current risk level.

The part that relies on FlexigoTech Cloud

The Odoo Apps listing flags this in its own section: Before you buy: some features of this app use a paid external service. Inside the module, the pieces with FlexigoTech Cloud in their name are the Data tables (FlexigoTech Cloud) menu, the lksg.fgt.paquete model and the daily action that updates the country risk baseline from FlexigoTech Cloud. The listing also has a Privacy policy section.

The module costs €9 per Odoo version on Odoo Apps, a one-off payment excluding VAT, for 17, 18, 19 and 20; the local service costs €29/month or €290/year excluding VAT (Pro: €58/month or €580/year). Without a subscription, or with the service suspended, whatever the subscription provides stops and your data stays in your Odoo. If you buy on flexigotech.com, the subscription includes the module for new Odoo versions; on the Odoo App Store, each version is bought there.
