People looking for a Temu integration for Business Central are usually in one of two places: they already run Business Central and want to open a channel, or they are choosing an ERP and marketplaces weigh on it. Those are different questions, and for the first the answer is almost never to switch ERP. Declaration of interest: we work with Odoo and do not implement Business Central, so we will also say when Business Central is the sensible choice.
What the licence costs, per user
Microsoft lists three Business Central online licences, billed annually: Team Members at $8 per user per month, for viewing, approving and light edits; Essentials at $80; and Premium at $110, which adds manufacturing and service management. Local-currency prices come from the partner selling the licence. In Odoo, Community carries no licence fee and Enterprise is paid per user, with a catch that hits marketplace sellers directly: the Standard plan only runs on Odoo Online, which does not accept third-party modules, and it does not include the external API. On Enterprise, connectors need the Custom plan, and the price Odoo publishes for Spain stays under €25 per user per month even on monthly billing.
| Item | Business Central | Odoo |
|---|---|---|
| Full user | Essentials $80 or Premium $110 a month | Custom under €25 a month; Community, no licence fee |
| Occasional user | Team Members, $8 a month | No reduced licence for internal users |
| Shopify | Microsoft's own connector, online only | App Store module or custom development |
| Amazon | Third-party app or integration platform | Official connector or App Store module |
| Temu, Mirakl, ManoMano | Third-party app, integration platform or development | App Store module (one-off payment) or development |
| Environments | 1 production and 3 sandboxes; more costs extra | Odoo.sh extra; your own server is on you |
What you have to buy separately to sell on marketplaces
In Business Central, Microsoft maintains its own Shopify connector: it comes preinstalled in new environments, syncs products, stock, orders and payouts, and exists only in the online version. For Amazon, Temu or the Mirakl operators, Microsoft publishes no connector. You fill the gap with third-party apps from Microsoft Marketplace (formerly AppSource), an integration platform or a partner's development. Each option charges its own way (monthly, per channel or by order volume): read it before you sign.
Odoo documents official connectors for Amazon and, in version 19, for TikTok Shop, Shopee and Lazada. For Shopify, Temu, Mirakl, ManoMano or AliExpress there is no official connector: you install an App Store module, paid once, or you build one. Our Temu connector, for instance, costs €169 as a one-off payment with the source code included. The small print is the one above: those modules need Odoo.sh or your own server.
Temu does not depend on the ERP you choose
To integrate Temu with any ERP you need a Temu Partner account and an application registered and approved inside Temu, whether you run Business Central or Odoo. What decides whether the operation works is how the integration is built: no duplicate orders on a retry, variants respected, destination-country tax applied and cancellations read. We cover it in importing Temu orders into Odoo, and nearly all of it applies to Business Central too.
When Business Central is the right answer
- You already run Business Central and it works. If only a channel is missing, connect it to Business Central: switching ERP to open Temu is out of all proportion.
- Your company lives in Microsoft 365. Excel, Teams and Power BI are the daily routine and your accountants already work with a Business Central partner.
- Your group already consolidates in Business Central and head office imposes it on subsidiaries.
- You only sell through Shopify and run Business Central online. Microsoft's connector covers that case with nothing else to buy.
In those cases what you need is a good Microsoft partner, not us.
When Odoo is the better fit
Odoo has the edge when marketplaces are the core of the operation. If you sell on Amazon, Temu, several Mirakl operators and your own shop, you need a master stock that allocates units across all of them, and that allocation is more reliable with the connectors inside the ERP than on an intermediate platform. The same goes when many people use the ERP every day: each person is a licence and the price gap multiplies. Our Amazon, Shopify, Mirakl, Temu, ManoMano and AliExpress connectors run on Odoo 17, 18 and 19, and on Odoo 20 the day it ships.
What weighs more than the licence
The licence is the easy thing to compare and rarely the most expensive one. The real cost is set by implementation, data migration and who maintains the integrations when the marketplace changes its API. Microsoft, for example, requires you to upgrade Business Central to keep using its Shopify connector when Shopify retires an API version; Odoo is no different with every module. Before choosing, ask both sides who does that work and how quickly.

Frequently asked questions
Does Business Central have a Temu connector?
Microsoft does not publish one. There are third-party apps and integration platforms that cover it, or a Business Central partner can build it. We do not work on Business Central: if you already use it, that is the route.
Is it worth moving from Business Central to Odoo because of marketplaces?
For that reason alone, almost never. Connecting a channel costs less and risks less than changing ERP. Migration makes sense when the ERP is already causing problems for other reasons and marketplaces are one more item on the list.
Do App Store connectors work on Odoo Online?
No. Odoo Online does not accept third-party modules: you need Odoo.sh or your own server, and on Enterprise that means the Custom plan. Ours run on Odoo 17, 18 and 19, and on Odoo 20 the day it ships.
