Odoo 19 LTS support

Why Odoo 19

It's not just a version update

Odoo 19 introduces performance improvements, new APIs and a more stable architecture. But most importantly: it's LTS. Official support until 2028.

Security and support until 2028

Versions prior to 16 no longer receive security patches. Staying on Odoo 14 or 15 means accepting real technical risk. Odoo 19 LTS guarantees security updates for 5 years.

Performance and new features

Odoo 19 significantly improves ORM performance, multi-company management and ecommerce modules. Faster listings, fewer bottlenecks in bulk operations.

Access to the newest modules

The most active OCA modules already have a 19.0 branch. Our proprietary connectors (Correos Express, MRW) are native to Odoo 19. Migrating is the only way to access them.

Key Odoo 19 highlights for ecommerce

Faster ORM for bulk operations

Direct impact on order and stock synchronizations with marketplaces.

New granular permission system

Finer per-user control over modules, records and fields.

Improved REST API for integrations

More stable, better documented endpoints for connecting stores and carriers.

Redesigned Inventory module

Better lot management, traceability and pickings in complex warehouses.

Updated electronic invoicing

Compatible with the TicketBAI and VeriFactu requirements in Spain.

LTS support until 2028

Security patches and critical fixes guaranteed for 5 years.

Managed risks

The risks that exist, and how we mitigate them

Being direct about real risks is part of how we work. We don't promise migration is trivial — we promise we manage it well.

Risk Probability How we manage it
OCA module without a 19.0 branch available Medium We detect this in the audit phase. We assess whether to port it ourselves, find an alternative or exclude it from scope.
Deep customization incompatible with v19 Low We rewrite the customization following the new Odoo 19 API. Included in the project scope.
Inconsistent data in the source database Medium We run a data integrity validation script before migration. Errors are fixed before cutover.
Downtime during the switch Controlled Cutover happens in a planned maintenance window (usually Saturday night). Maximum 4-6 hours of downtime.

FAQ about migration

How long does an Odoo 19 migration take?
It depends on data volume and existing customizations. A standard project takes 3 to 8 weeks. We define this precisely in the analysis phase, before starting and at no cost.
Is data lost during migration?
No. We run a complete database migration with record-by-record validation. We migrate customers, suppliers, products, sales history, purchases, stock movements and accounting. Before cutover, you validate in staging yourself that everything is correct.
What happens to custom modules?
We audit every module before migration. OCA modules are ported to the 19.0 branch if one exists. Proprietary modules and bespoke customizations are rewritten or adapted for Odoo 19 as part of the project.
Can I keep operating during migration?
Yes. We work in parallel: production keeps running while we prepare the new Odoo 19 environment. The cutover (the actual switch) happens in a short maintenance window, usually a weekend.
Do I need to hire support after migration?
Not mandatory. The first 48 hours after cutover include reactive support at no extra cost. If you want continued support beyond that, we offer monthly support contracts — but it's not a requirement for the migration.
