SeQura

Installment Payments in Your Odoo with SeQura (BNPL)

Offering SeQura at Odoo checkout lets you sell with deferred payment without giving up keeping orders and payments reconciled inside the ERP.

SeQura is one of the most used deferred payment providers (Buy Now Pay Later, BNPL) in Spain. The idea is simple: the customer can split the payment or pay later, while the merchant collects the full amount in advance. SeQura assumes the financing risk and charges a fee for the service.

Who it affects: any Odoo eCommerce store in Spain selling medium or high tickets (electronics, furniture, training, health, sports...) where allowing installment payment increases conversion and average order value.

What BNPL brings to your checkout

Deferred payment reduces the friction of buying an expensive product. The customer sees from the product page how much they would pay per month and decides more calmly. For the merchant, the benefit is twofold: more conversion on high tickets and immediate collection of the full amount, without managing defaults.

How it works inside Odoo

SeQura integrates as one more payment provider within Odoo eCommerce checkout. The actual flow is this:

Unlike pasting a script into the website theme, doing it as a native Odoo payment provider means each order has its transaction, its reference and its status inside the ERP. That is where reconciling later succeeds or fails.

Reconciling orders and payments

The critical point of BNPL is not collecting: it is reconciling. The customer pays SeQura in several installments, but SeQura settles the merchant in a single payment (minus fee) on its own settlement calendar. Without a clean integration, the Odoo order and the bank deposit do not match and manual work begins.

That is why each order paid with SeQura must be linked to its transaction reference, with the correct status (approved, cancelled, refunded). This way, when the SeQura settlement arrives, you can match orders and deposits without guessing, and the accounting side stays consistent.
